Lifestyle sessions will always have my heart. These newborn sessions are such a special time in a new family’s life, and I love being invited into a family’s home to celebrate their baby’s arrival with them.

These first few days pass by in a blur. They are some of the hardest days you’ll ever experience, and oddly enough, they are also the days that you’ll barely be able to remember. These first days are filled with quiet moments that happen in between the chaos and exhaustion — the long nights, trying to figure out their cries, working on getting them eating enough, so many diapers, and wondering how in the world a tiny little baby can go through SO. MUCH. LAUNDRY.

But the quiet moments in between all of that are where the magic happens. Watching your little one’s chest rise & fall. Feeling their tiny fingers wrap around and grip your own. Tracing their perfect little hairline. Watching their sleepy eyes flutter open and a little half smile cross their lips. Those are the moments that you won’t ever want to forget.

Lia’s newborn session was filled with so many magical moments. Tiny sleepy stretches. Wide eyed stares. The most amazing whirls of hair on her perfect little head. Lots of cuddles in the nursery that her mommy & daddy spent months putting together for her arrival. Everything was just perfect!
