My wonderful neighbors Lauren and Tim are expecting their second baby. When they reached out to me about maternity portraits to celebrate this special waiting period, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. Their daughter Anna is 5 months younger than our daughter, so we’ve been going through phases of parenthood together - and have been celebrating their second baby girl’s arrival with so much happiness, too.
Lauren and Tim decided to keep their portrait session simple - with maternity portraits in my studio (super convenient in the neighborhood, ha!). Anna got to be a huge part of their session, too, which I always love to see. She was absolutely adorable - wanting to hold and kiss her mama’s belly. Lauren and Tim asked to recreate some moments from their first maternity session with me, and I couldn’t wait. I love when families think about how their images will all mix together over the years.
Some of my favorite portraits turned out to be the backlit and silhouette portraits. They’re elegant, yet simple. I know they will be treasured for years to come! It’s always fun to find new ways to capture similar moments for my couples - like posing with her cardigan and updating a similar photo with their daughter now. Lauren and Tim, congratulations and thank you for trusting me again to capture your maternity portraits. I can’t wait to share your newborn session soon!
