Henry's Newborn Portraits with Adorable Big Sister

I always love capturing family portraits during our studio newborn sessions. I love seeing how tiny the baby is in his parents’ arms, and the happy cuddles as everyone cozies up with the new baby. It’s always exciting when there is a big brother or sister and we can capture those adorable interactions, too!

Choosing what to wear is so important for studio newborn sessions. Neutral colors help the baby be the star of the show, and they are also classic so that they look amazing on your walls for years to come! More outfit tips here on the blog.

Henry’s newborn session at our Saratoga Springs portrait studio was absolutely perfect. We captured the cutest family photos and plenty of individual portraits of their baby boy, too. Just a few years ago we were photographing Emma’s newborn session, and now here she is with a baby brother!

Want to know what my favorite part about this session was? Big sister Emma.

She was sooooo excited to be in photos with her baby brother, and even more excited when I placed him into her arms (for the very first time ever!). The joy on her face was unforgettable, and she kept giggling and looking to mom and dad with the proudest smile. It was so sweet!

Sleepy little yawns are always fun to capture on camera! Especially in tiny striped outfits like this one!

A Nautical Newborn Session at Home: Saratoga Springs & Boston Newborn Photographer

Oh, hey there, little baby.  Aren't you just the cutest thing ever?

Meet Marcelino Patrick.

This little boy was as sweet as can be for the majority of his in-home lifestyle newborn session, and we captured so many adorable photos together!  I just love these two images above with one of the newest hats that I recently added to my collection.  Marcelino has the most perfect profile with his little button nose, and I loved showcasing that in his photos.

Marcelino's mom & dad are head over heels in love with their little boy.  I loved being able to watch them soak up his newborn smell, fawn over his tiny smiles, and cuddle up with him in the nursery that they created just for their little nautical baby boy.

One of the many things that I love to capture when clients invite me into their homes for a lifestyle newborn session is the nursery.  So much time and love goes into preparing this space for your baby's arrival, and it deserves to be documented!  

You have spent nine (plus!) months preparing for your little one's arrival, and countless hours sitting in the nursery and dreaming of what he'll be like once he is here.  This is the room where you will rock him to sleep, read him endless bedtime stories, and watch him grow into a tiny little human right before your very eyes.  This room will be the setting for so many stories in your family's tapestry -- it's worth capturing that on camera.  Plus, let's be honest here... never again will the baby's room be as clean as it is today!

Newborn Baby Tommy: Saratoga Springs Newborn Photographer

Everyone has their ideal client, and you work hard to find them.  But what I'm noticing is that more and more often, my perfect clients are finding ME.  We chat during their pre-consultation, and they mention simple set ups, a focus on baby, soft neutral colors, and the most tender family moments that they want captured on camera.  

Tommy's family was no exception, asking for a pure & simple session with soft grays, blues, whites, and a few nautical touches to tie in with his nursery theme.  I had been dreaming of the perfect nautical image for awhile now, and I was so happy to finally bring it to life!

Tommy's mom is an active member of the local Boston blogging community.  She manages her own health & fitness website and video collection at www.sarahfit.com.  She has shared with the world her personal journey of a healthy pregnancy and continues to share health and fitness tips for the postpartum mom.  

This gorgeous mama came in for their session, and she truly glowed with happiness while holding her brand new baby boy in her arms.

His dad definitely shared a few "proud papa" moments, too.  Watching a new dad with their baby is always the sweetest thing!  I'm so happy we captured these moments for their family.

Finally, is there anything sweeter than itty bitty baby toes?  No, I don't believe there is.  Tommy was such a little charmer, and his parents are lucky to cuddle with this sweet bundle of love every day.
