Summer is my favorite time of year, and I love spending a few weeks every July and August on Cape Cod! Flip flop weather, long bike rides on the Rail Trail, the salt air breeze, lots of visits to my favorite ice cream shops, walks to the beach, and fluffy hydrangeas all make for one beautiful Cape Cod summer.

While on the Cape I always enjoy our sunset portrait sessions on the beach. Most of our family sessions take place on a few of my favorite beaches mid-Cape in the Dennis, Yarmouth, and Harwich area, though I have a few favorites that I enjoy going to on other parts of Cape Cod as well! These sessions typically occur in the hour or two before sunset, which means they begin around 7pm.

We know that sunset can be hard for some families with early bedtimes, but trust me, it is worth it to wait until later in the day for that perfect golden light and a nearly empty beach. Magic unfolds when you have the whole beach to yourself and your family gets to laugh & play during your portrait session. I work efficiently to capture a wide variety of posed and candid moments, and all of the beautiful moments in between. This year we are offering two sessions per evening, with one having a slightly earlier start time that will work great for families with super early bedtimes. Our July sessions will start at 6:45pm and 7:30pm, and our August sessions will start at 6:15pm and 7:00pm.
